Laura Jaramillo

Laura Jaramillo is a poet and critic. She is the author of three books, most recently Making Water (Futurepoem, 2022). Laura holds a PhD in Critical Theory from Duke University’s program in Literature, where she wrote a dissertation on avant-garde film and ritual in Latin America and Spain. Her research interests include poetry, film, modernism, postmodernity, Latin American studies, the avant-garde, and media studies. Laura lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she co-organizes the Paradiso reading and performance series.
